Submit and sign a record
Every treatment record is saved either as a draft you can still change, or signed. Signing locks the record permanently, so it is worth knowing which button does what before you use them.
✅ What you can do
- Save a record as a draft and come back to it
- Sign a record with a drawn signature or with BankID
- Correct a record that was signed by mistake
✍️ Submit Draft or Submit and Sign
When you finish writing a treatment you have two buttons:
- Submit Draft saves your work and leaves the record editable. Use this whenever the treatment is not finished, or you want a colleague to look at it first.
- Submit and Sign saves the record and then opens the signature step. Use this only when the record is final.
🖊️ Signing the record
After Submit and Sign, the Practitioner signature window opens.
- Draw your signature in the box, then click Submit.
- If your BankID is verified, there is no drawing box. You see Since your BankID is verified, directly sign with BankID and a Sign button instead.
The record then shows who signed it and when, and BankID signatures are marked as such.
🔁 Correcting a signed record
You cannot change a signed record, so MERIDIQ lets you cancel it and explain why. The original stays in the journal, which is what a clinical record is supposed to do.
- Find the signed treatment in the client's list.
- Click the Cancel icon on that row.
- In Add Cancel Note, type the reason under Details.
- Click Submit.
The row turns red and is marked Cancelled, with a note icon that shows your explanation. If the treatment needs to be recorded properly, create a new one alongside it.
