Password & account security

Your MERIDIQ password protects clinical records, so it has to meet a few rules, and it has to be changed regularly. This page covers changing it, the 90-day expiry, and what happens when sign-in goes wrong.

📍 Where to find this: Click your usernameMy profileChange Password

✅ What you can do

  • Change your password from your profile
  • Understand the password requirements before you are rejected
  • Know what the expiry warning means and how long you have
  • Understand account lockout and the code sent to your email

🔑 Change your password

  1. Click your username → select My profile.
  2. Click Change Password — opens the Change Password pop-up.
  3. Enter your Old Password.
  4. Enter your new Password.
  5. Re-enter the new password to confirm.
  6. Click Update Password.

Change Password

⚠️ Changing your password signs you out of MERIDIQ everywhere else — any other browser or device will need to sign in again. This is deliberate, so a password change locks out anyone who should no longer have access.

Passwords expire 90 days after you last changed them.

When

What happens

15 days before expiry

On expiry

Password Expired appears and cannot be dismissed — you must set a new password to keep using your account.

ℹ️ Remind me later postpones the warning until your next sign-in, not for a fixed number of days. The reminder returns every time you log in until you change the password.

🔒 If you cannot sign in

Situation

What happens

Wrong password

After 3 failed attempts your account locks for 1 minute, then you can try again.

Signing in from a new device

MERIDIQ may email you a one-time code to enter. Tick Don't ask again on this device to skip it on that device in future.

Code did not arrive

You can request a new code after a short wait — check your spam folder first.

Forgotten password

Use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page. The reset link is valid for 60 minutes.

ℹ️ For your own protection MERIDIQ does not confirm whether an email address has an account — the reset screen gives the same message either way.

🚪 Being signed out

Message

Why

You've been logged out

Your session ended — usually because you signed in somewhere else, or your password was changed or reset.

Signed out without warning

Sessions end automatically after a period of inactivity. Sign in again to continue.

ℹ️ There is no list of active devices or sessions in MERIDIQ, and no "sign out everywhere" button. Changing your password achieves the same result.

💡 Keep your details up to date so password resets reach you — see Account & profile. For signing clinical records, see Verify your identity with BankID.
