Notifications & alerts

The Notifications panel gives you a real-time view of activity that needs your attention — file exports you have requested, SMS that could not be sent, client responses and announcements from MERIDIQ.

📍 Where to find this: Click the bell icon 🔔 in the top-right corner on any page

✅ What you can do

  • See how many unread notifications you have from the badge on the bell
  • View your most recent unread notifications in the dropdown
  • Mark notifications as read one at a time, or all at once
  • Open the full Notifications page to browse All, Unread and Read
  • Jump straight to whatever a notification is about

🔔 View & manage notifications

  1. Click the Notification bell icon in the top-right corner on any page.
  • The notifications dropdown opens.
  1. Click the Read icon next to a notification to mark it as read.
  • The notification moves to the Read section.
  1. Click Mark All Read to mark every notification as read at once.
  2. Click All Notifications to open the full Notifications page.

Notifications

ℹ️ The badge counts unread notifications only and stops at 9+. It refreshes automatically about every 30 seconds, so a new notification appears without reloading the page. The dropdown shows your three most recent unread notifications — open the full page to see the rest.

ℹ️ When you have nothing unread, the dropdown shows You're all up to date!

📋 Notifications page — All, Unread & Read tabs

The full Notifications page has three tabs:

  1. Click the All Notifications tab — shows every notification, read and unread.
  2. Click the Unread tab — shows only unread notifications.
  3. Click the Read tab — shows only notifications you have already read.

Notification

ℹ️ Older notifications are spread across pages — use the pagination at the bottom of the list to reach them.

🔗 Open what a notification is about

Many notifications link straight to the thing they refer to — a client profile, your SMS campaigns, your credit balance, or a file to download.

  1. Click anywhere on the notification row.
  • If it links somewhere, MERIDIQ takes you there and marks the notification as read.
  • Download links open the file directly.

ℹ️ Not every notification links somewhere. Rows that do change the cursor to a hand when you hover over them.

⚠️ Download links in File ready notifications expire — after 24 hours for QMS document and medical device exports, and 72 hours for full client exports. If the link no longer works, request the export again.

🪟 Popup announcements

Some announcements from MERIDIQ appear as a popup when you sign in, instead of only sitting in the bell.

  1. Read the message in the popup.
  2. Choose Don't show again to dismiss it permanently, or Remind me later to see it again next time.
  3. Click Submit.

ℹ️ Remind me later hides the popup for 24 hours. After that it appears again on your next sign-in until you choose Don't show again.

❓ Common questions

Question

Answer

Can I choose which notifications I receive?

No. Notification types cannot be switched on or off — everyone in the clinic receives the notifications relevant to them.

Can I delete a notification?

No. Notifications can only be marked as read; they are never removed.

Do old notifications disappear on their own?

No. They stay in the Read tab indefinitely, which is why the list is paginated.

Why did I get a notification meant for a colleague?

Some notifications fall back to all clinic admins when MERIDIQ cannot tie the event to one person — SMS failures work this way.

Where do I set up booking confirmations and reminders for clients?

Those are separate. Configure them in Booking System → Configurations and Record System → Configurations.

💡 Notifications are generated automatically by MERIDIQ — you never create them yourself. To understand what a specific notification is telling you, see What your notifications mean.
