Customize your navigation

Customize Navigation is where you decide exactly what your sidebar contains while Focus Mode is on — which pages appear, how they are grouped, what order they sit in, and where you land after signing in.

📍 Where to find this: Turn on Focus Mode, then click Customize Navigation

✅ What you can do

  • Switch individual pages on and off
  • Collapse a system label's pages into a dropdown, or leave them as separate items
  • Create your own labels and put any pages under them
  • Drag your sidebar into the order you want
  • Choose your landing page after login

Customize Navigation

❓ How it works

Click How it works at the top of the window for a four-step walkthrough. It covers the same ground as the sections below.

How focus navigation works

📌 Pin individual pages

  1. Find the page in the list.
  2. Switch it on.
  • It appears in your sidebar on its own, with no menu to expand.

ℹ️ This is the quickest setup. If you only ever use the booking calendar, pin that one page and skip labels entirely.

🗂️ Group pages under a system label

Each area — Record System, Booking System, POS, QMS, Reports, Templates, Communication, General Settings — appears as a label with its pages beneath it.

  1. Switch on the pages you want from that area.
  2. Turn the label switch on to collapse them into a dropdown.
  • Leave the label switch off and those pages stay in your sidebar as separate items.

ℹ️ The hint under each label says Group active pages under this label — that switch controls grouping, not whether the pages appear. The page switches control that.

ℹ️ General Settings is all-or-nothing: it has a single switch rather than one per page.

ℹ️ Clients and Apps are single pages, so they are always standalone and never become dropdowns.

🏷️ Create your own labels

  1. Click + Add label.
  2. Type a Label name.
  3. Use Add page… to place any pages under it.

ℹ️ You can mix pages from different areas under one label — put the booking calendar and your SMS campaigns together if that is how you work.

ℹ️ Empty labels are hidden, so a label you have not filled yet will not clutter your sidebar.

↕️ Reorder your sidebar

Under Your sidebar order, drag items into the order you want using the handle on the left. Click the × on an item to remove it.

🚪 Choose your landing page

  1. Open the Landing page after login dropdown.
  2. Choose the page you want to see straight after signing in.

⚠️ You can only choose from pages you have kept in your sidebar. If you remove the page you had chosen, MERIDIQ picks another one for you — so check this field before saving.

💾 Save your changes

  1. Click Save.
  • Your sidebar updates immediately.
  1. Click Cancel to close without changing anything.

⚠️ You must keep at least one page. Saving with everything switched off shows Select at least one item to keep in your sidebar.

ℹ️ If the sidebar ever shows None of your pinned items are available, the pages you pinned are no longer accessible to you — usually because a module was turned off for your account. Open Customize Navigation and pick new ones.

💡 Your choices are saved to your account, so they follow you to any device you sign in on. To switch the whole thing off, see Focus Mode overview.
