Marketing overview
Marketing is where MERIDIQ texts your clients for you. It notices when someone is due for their next treatment, when it is their birthday, or when they have quietly stopped coming, and it sends them a message at the right moment. You write the messages once, set your limits, and it runs by itself.
✅ What you can do
- Turn on ready-made SMS recipes and edit every message before it sends
- Set limits so no client is over-messaged and no month runs over budget
- See who you may contact, how each client gave consent, and who opted out
- Follow every send in a live log, including the reason for anything skipped
- Measure bookings, revenue and credit cost side by side
🧭 How to access Marketing
- Click Marketing in the left navigation menu.
- The menu expands into Overview, Automations and Consent.

💡 How it works, in plain language
Think of it as a member of staff who checks the diary every hour and asks one question: is there anyone I should text right now?
- They only text people who agreed to be texted. Clients who opted out are never in the list, and that cannot be switched off.
- They keep polite hours. Nothing goes out at night. A message that becomes due at 23:00 waits until the morning.
- They do not pester. One client gets at most one marketing text a day, and no more than your monthly limit.
- They stop when the money runs out. You can give them a monthly credit budget, and they stop when it is spent.
- They never send the same thing twice. Each client gets a given message once per occasion, so a birthday greeting cannot arrive twice in a year.
- They write down everything. Every send, skip and failure is logged with a reason.
🧑🏫 Guided help on every page
Marketing explains itself as you go, so you do not have to read this whole section first.
- A tour starts by itself the first time you open each of the three pages, pointing at the parts that matter in order. Use Next and Back to move, Skip tour to leave it, and the counter shows Step 1 of 4 so you know how long it is.
- The ⓘ beside a page title replays that page's tour whenever you want it again.
- The ⓘ beside a heading or field explains just that one thing — what attributed revenue counts, what quiet hours do, what a credit is.
- The Getting Started wizard opens by itself the first time you land anywhere in Marketing, and does not pester you again once you have been through it.

💳 What it costs
Marketing messages are paid for with SMS credits, the same credits the rest of MERIDIQ uses. One SMS is one credit per client. A message longer than 160 characters is sent as two linked texts and costs two credits per client, which is why the message editor counts characters for you.
