# Issue & redeem gift cards

Issue gift cards to clients, track their status and value, and print or email receipts — all from the Gift Card section of the POS system.

## ✅ What you can do

* Issue a gift card for a client with a custom amount and expiry date
* Pay for the gift card via Viva, Klarna, Swish, Stripe or Manual Payment
* Filter gift cards by Active, Inactive or Expired status
* Export the full gift card list
* View, download and email gift card receipt details
* Redeem a gift card as a discount during a payment

## 🎁 Browse & filter gift cards

1. Click **POS System** → **Gift Card**.
* The Gift Card List opens, showing all issued gift cards.
2. *(optional)* Use the **Active / Inactive / Expired** filter dropdown to filter the list by status.
3. *(optional)* Click the **Export** button to download the full gift card list with all details.

## ➕ Issue a gift card

1. Click **POS System** → **Gift Card**.
2. Click the **Issue Gift Card** button in the top-right corner.
* Opens the Issue Gift Card pop-up.
3. Select the **Client** from the dropdown (required).

|| ℹ️ **Anonymous Payment** — use this option to process a transaction without linking it to a registered client profile. Useful for walk-in customers or situations where client data is not required.

4. Enter the **Amount** for the gift card.
5. Select the **Expiry Date**.
6. *(optional)* Select the applicable **Tax** from the tax dropdown.
7. Choose a **Payment Method**:
* **Viva** — card terminal payment, includes Klarna (Sweden and the Netherlands)
* **Swish** — mobile payment (Sweden only)
* **Stripe** — card payment (available in most countries)
* **Manual Payment** — QR code-based payment for services without API integration (Sweden and United Kingdom)
8. *(optional)* Click **Cancel** to discard.

|| ℹ️ Payment method availability by country:
|| **Sweden** — Viva (includes Klarna), Swish, Stripe and Manual Payment.
|| **Netherlands** — Viva (includes Klarna), Stripe and Manual Payment.
|| **United Kingdom** — Stripe and Manual Payment.
|| **Everywhere else** — Stripe (most countries) and Manual Payment.

## 👁️ View a gift card receipt

1. Click **POS System** → **Gift Card**.
2. Click the **View** (Eye) icon on any gift card in the list.
* Opens the **Gift Card Receipt Detail**.
3. From the receipt detail you can:
* Click **Print** to download the gift card details as a PDF.
* Click **Email** to send the gift card receipt to the client by email.

## 💳 Redeem a gift card

To apply a gift card as a discount during a payment:

1. Go to **POS System** → **Payments** → start a sale.
2. In the **Gift Card** field enter the **Card ID**.
3. Enter the **Amount to use** from the gift card.
* The discount is applied automatically to the total.
