# Import clients & data

Import your existing client and booking data into MERIDIQ using CSV or Excel files.

| 📍 **Where to find this:** General Settings → Import

## ✅ What you can do

* Import clients from a CSV or Excel file
* Import bookings from a CSV or Excel file
* Map file columns to MERIDIQ fields
* View import results (imported vs. not imported records)

|| ℹ️ The Import feature is **locked by default**. Click **Contact us** on the Import page to request access from MERIDIQ support.

## 🔓 Unlock import

1. Click **General Settings** → **Import clients & data** — if locked, click **Contact us**.

## 👥 Import clients

1. Click **General Settings** → **Import clients & data** → navigate to **Client**.
2. *(optional)* Click **Download Sample** for the required file format.
3. Click **Choose File** → select your CSV or Excel file → click **Submit**.
4. Map each column to the correct **MERIDIQ field** — required/unique fields are indicated.
5. Review the **imported / not imported** results summary.

## 📅 Import bookings

1. Click **General Settings** → **Import clients & data** → navigate to **Booking**.
2. Follow the same steps — download sample, choose file, submit, map fields, review results.

|| ℹ️ Ensure your file matches the sample structure. Mandatory and unique fields must be correctly mapped.
